A long winded letter from Cap one basically saying I signed it so tough( sent me a copy of the agreement and I had ticked the box)......So do I pursue it or cancel ppi and forget about it.
I had spoken to a representative before applying who said take the ppi and I didnt no what it was. This was in 2000. In Capital Ones reply one paragraph says quote "During your internet application you clearly indicated that you wanted to purchase the policy ". Well I didnt apply by internet as I didnt even have a computer or access to one, or even how to work one for that matter.
Any comment would be appreciated.

Hi there
Cap One standard responses.
There are lots who have received the same excuse, in regards of signing the agreement and so on, but that means nothing, if you have a reason for being mis sold then keep at them, tell them you didnt even know what it was (maybe you were told that you had to take it out) or pressurised and so on.
If this wasn't the final decision, write to them again.
Did they confirm if this was final?
Is so did they enclose details of the Financial ombudsman service?
Good luck. The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -

Hi Di
Yes Final decision yes and details of FOS
I would now then complain to the FOS, and enclose all copies of evidence you may have and/or give them as much details as possible, with what you may not agree on in regards of the rejection as well etc...

Hi
There will be a wait, due to backlogs, but just to mention if any financial hardship so also let the FOS know who may consider fast trasking on request, depending also on your reasons/circumstances of hardship or illness etc.
Good luck though.;)The one and only "Dizzy Di"0 -
