Do integrated dishwashers beep all night?

I am looking to buy an integrated dishwasher but need advice on how they let you know the cycle has finished. Do they beep once or continuously until you open the door? What happens if I put it on in the middle of the night?

Like all dishwashers they just beep once or twice at the end of the cycle. I should point out that experts advise you not to put your dishwasher on overnight or when it's not attended because some have been known to go on fire. It didn't stop us but my brother's did go on fire so I know it happens.

    Ours just stops and waits.

Not all dishwashers have an audible alert. Maybe you could pick one that doesn't....

If you put it on in the middle of the night, you'll already be awake anyway...

We used to put ours on before going to bed. It meant a clean array of dry dishes in the morning.
  • Neff ones - or at least some of them - go on all night, unless you read the manual which has a procedure to cancel the beeping entirely.

Same should be true of all decent makes

If at first you don't suceed - then read the instructions!
Unless it is damaged or discontinued - ignore any discount of over 25%

So I guess the answer is shop around and find one that either bleeps once or has an override facility!

I think you'd need to check with the manufacturers about that. Can't see a salesman knowing that info.

Our integrated dishwasher is from IKEA.

It beeps several times to let you know when it has finished and then stops. I always load it before I go to bed ready to unload in the morning.

You can turn the beep off on IKEA (whilepool) dishwasher but it's a faf and will turn back on if mains power is off. It only beeps 3-4 times & not so loud as to be a night time problem.

We have a Bosch. it does beep several times, but not so loud that it would waken anyone.
