Should i be paying this much

I get payed £1375 before tax ect the csa are taking £420 out of my wages so after tax,NI ect im left with £701 a month to live on.

My daughter lives in manchester who i see every week so i travel 240 miles a month to see her.

I have my 2 boys 211 days a year so every weekend fri-sun and have them in every school holidays they have.

But yet today i got my payslip minus £420 saying its CSA payments, my daughters mum gets £100 of it and the boys mum gets the rest i think.

Not sure what to do and feeling rather depressed with this.

Arrears? Maybe... With 3 kids assuming CSA2 you should be paying 25% of your after tax income. This would be around £282 per month and will then be split into 3 so your daughter's mum should get around £94 and your 2 boys mum should get £188. Less deductions for the nights you have.

Why do you pay for the 2 boys when you have them more than half the time?

Pay up or tough luck, you must pay for your chuldren despite the CSAs inadequacies. That is what you get for posting on this forum.

Seriously now, speak to NACSA or send an email and you will get a more balanced answer. Include as much detail as you can.

Not sure how i can owe the boys mum anything as i pay for all school clothing and normal clothing and school trips as well as have them 211 days a year staying overnight.

and have done this for 5 years without fail.

the boys mum hasnt contacted the CSA as ive spoken to her and shes sent them a letter last month to say they are not to chase me for payments as we have our own agreement but yet they are still taking £420 from my wages.

i have spoken to her again today and she is adiment that she hasnt asked them for any help or to come after me for anything.

James, you paid well over the top for your income. the legal maximum is 40% even with arrears. Phone the CSA and ask they return the money back to you as this is leaving you in a position of critical hardship.

Speak to your MP and get a meeting as a matter or urgency and ask he sort this mess out.

Do check your employer hasnt screwed up and over-debited your pay.

As said earlier, NACSA are good at giving balanced advice.

HappyMJ has raised a valid point.

Get the ball rolling with your MP, gets lots of irons in the fire.

One of them should deliver the goods.
