updating ati driver help?

my son got dawn of wars for xmas and it comes up with spooge error. i have investigated and installed latest direct x and found that video card may need updating.

i have found out it is an ati mobility 128 agp 2x. i have been on the ati site but then i get lost. i have tried updating what i think are the correct drivers but then they will not update as they say they are not compatible. it is a dell lattitude laptop.

can anyone help?

ok you either need to gives us the exact model of the laptop or go into device manager and find out what the graphics card is - trouble with ati drives is that you normally need to run a driver cleaner before installing the new ones (just googel for ati driver cleaner).

it's a dell lattitude c600 i thought the exact graphic card was ati mobility 128 agp 2x is this not right?

Does the game require Direct X 9 c ??

The card may not be compatible or have drivers written to use DX9


try the Dell site for drivers HTH

Looking around the web, it looks like your card doesn't support DX9.

sorry its just that you said the card had 128mb ram - which wouldn't have been put on a 2x agp card

1800MB hard drive space

Recommended Requirements:
2.2GHz Intel Pentium 4 or equivalent
512 MB RAM
GeForce 3, ATI Radeon 8500 or equivalent with 64MB of Video RAM

your laptop isn't really up to it either on cpu of gfx card - sorry.
