If you get their complete employment, consumer protection, home rights, criminal prosecution defence, taxation, personal injury, motoring, (uninsured loss, and criminal prosecution defence and contracts disputes), and legal advice 24/7 for the entire family for a tenner a year, it seems well worth it.

They do a business version as well.

lisyloo, I've just started a different thread (sorry, didn't see this one before) asking where I can get Combined Family Legal Care from now because Composite-Legal have just told me they won't be renewing my policy (due September) because they aren't selling it to the public anymore and wouldn't provide me with contact details for brokers saying that it would show preference to the brokers named. Last year it cost me £15. How did you manage to get yours renewed? I haven't had a renewal notice and when I rang them they said I should've had a lapse notification in the post, which I haven't.

If I can't get a stand alone policy, if I added legal cover to one of either the car insurances, or house insurance (all insured with different companies), would one insurance cover both cars and home?

Generally household policies exclude motoring accident.
I got mine from a broker.
Have you tried a local insurance broker?
or you could contact the provider and ask for the name of a broker.

I've tried local broker and ringing other brokers too, but none of them will offer it as standalone, they all just want me to buy house/car insurance from them and add it to that.

I've also tried ringing and emailing the providers, but they tell me to try brokers and when I ask them who to contact, they tell me they can't do that as it would show preferential treatment to the broker.
