Learning to drive a tank

Options
ok strange question, but bear with me on this. I know that somewhere out there on this forum someone will have an answer! :)

I am trying to get a Tracked Vehicle licence - Catagory H endorsement on the standard driving licence.

I have so far found one 3 day course that provides training on tanks and at the end of the 3 day course a DVLA examiner comes along and you take a test.

The course costs £1000 including accomodation but I'm sure there are other similar courses out there and I'd like to get a few prices before going ahead.

Does anyone out there know of a training course for a complete beginner that finishes with a test from the DVLA.

Please let me know. I'm getting tired of searching through Google, I'm sure it's not doing my eyes any good!

Cheers

Jo

Sorry if this is in totally the wrong place - please feel free to move to somewhere more appropriate.

You may be able to receive a list of instructors / charges Here at the DSA.GOV.UK website

Yahoo yields these results based on a "driving tuition +tracked +vehicle" search

Thanks, I'll have a look through the Yahoo results.

I have tried the DSA previously but apparently because they are a government agency they can't recommend anyone or even tell me where there might be a list of instructors. Not particularly helpful!

Oh well there must be lots out there somewhere!

    Cheers

Just a thought but do you have a local TA?
may be worth asking them if they know anywhere that does tank training?
I used to work next door to our local TA and there was always a guy from there who had 'a mate' who specialised in something, thats how I found my plummer!!! lol! :D

I suppose with parking getting ever more difficult, this is the ultimate answer. It doesn't matter if someone else got there first!!!
