SCS Damage to Property

I ordered a leather sofa suite a few weeks ago from scs. The delivery took place today as planned but the entire experience was beyond awful. The delivery men were rude and uncouth with eachother and then me, huffing, puffing and moaning about having to squeeze the suite in- i stood back and watched assuming they knew exactly what they were doing. I had been assured on the 5 different times i viewed this suite that the scs delivery men (who i paid £59 or £69 to deliver) were professional and would do everything possible to get the suite in. By the time they forcfully shoved it down my hallway they managed to scrape a foot of the paint off my bannisters. Iv'e only recently had the house professionally decorated so told them I would take the damage up with SCS. I live on my own with my baby and the delivery guy became so confrontational saying he was on minimum wage and the repairs would come out of his wages, that he was doing me a favour. I told him my transaction was with SCS and I would take it up with them and that his manner was was extremely unprofessional and I would speak to SCS.
Anyway they decided they couldnt monouvere the sofa into my front room so took the sofa back out and in the process managed to unhinge my door frame and the door hinges . I was just lost for words and stood their aghast as they bickered and argued blaming eachother.
I called SCS who were very apologetic and said either I could choose another suite for £1700 (with an additional delivery charge!!!) to replace the one I couldnt get in or pay £100 for an upholsteror to come out and take the arms off the suite to get it in. I said I shouldn't have to pay anything at all since it was their incompetance that damaged my property. They were so insistent that the sofa would go in and that every strategy possible would be used to get it in possible.
On top of that they said I need to get three quotes for my painting and decorating repairs and 3 quotes from a upvc company about reapiring/replacing my door. I was so upset today and if it wasn't for my little one would of just sat and cried.
I am at fault for ordering a sofa suite that was too large but I was truly misled by sales staff about how the sofa could be taken apart to get it in. I dont want the damn sofa anymore, just my money back. I have no experience of challenging this whatso ever, am a first time home buyer and on my own. Can someone please advise as I really don't know where I stand or how far I should challenge them within reason.
Thank you so much.
