I have used samples and love it but it is really expensive.

I have been using loreal youth code serum for the last few months and it is amazing. My skin is looking great, less fine lines, less texture is getting a youthful glow again. I can't rate it highly enough.

Can I ask what age bracket you would put yourself in? And do you use any accompanying face creams?

I am 34, have very fair skin and have always had people commenting on how great my skin is (until the last couple of years). I noticed a rapid decline over the last couple of years and my skin lost its lustre, was looking really textured, some sun damage and a couple of lines. What a depressing picture!

Anyway I had previously used the youth code moisturiser and thought it was ok but nothing special but the serum has 10X the amount of effectiveness in it so I gave it a go after asking on here about it

I use a variety of moisturisers so nothing special. Using avon at the moment.

I'm on my 3rd bottle of this. First bought it after reading an interview in which the woman from the Lauder family (daughter in law?) said if there was a fire, this is the one product out of them all that she would rescue. Something like that anyway. Was curious and have loved it since. I find that it lasts ages. My most expensive product!

I think I'll venture into Frasers and see if I can get a sample. I normally scoot through the cosmetics area at breakneck speed. I don't wear make up and always feel the SA's are looking at me like I've crawled out from under a stone - a very untrendy one at that.

I did read an article recently which said that Lupin Seed extract is the new Botox so I've been trying to find some of that but no joy so far - the search continues!

It seems to be loved by beauty editors and always wins these top 100 comps etc but I think to get the best out of it should use it with the night cream and day cream (mmoisturizer)

Hi Scottishminnie, Don't be worried at the Frasers counter, I bought tinted moisturiser there and the girl (straight dark hair) was great. Offered me a sample mascara and this was in the Christmas rush. Never fails to amaze me in there, how down to earth all the staff are.

I don't have much faith in these surveys anymore. Given the amount of them that end up linked here when there is a free mascara or other product for filling it in, I don't believe that everyone who fills them in and adds a product is truly recommending that product. There are literally 100's of thanks on these posts and loads of people getting the mascaras so I doubt how genuine the results are.

With regards to beauty editors recommending them I feel there is always a financial kickback to them for doing things like that, whether it is through increasing advertising from particular companies or product placement fees. I don't know this for sure but there tends to be adverts for the companies after a product has been recommended e.g. X magazine loves Estee Lauder advanced repair serum and lo and behold in a couple of pages there is an estee lauder advert. Cynical, Moi??

By the by, it is a good product from when I have used it for the few weeks my samples lasted :D

Yes, I use it under night cream - for that I like NiveaQ10 anti-wrinkle :p. Stopped it for a while and bought more natural cream but have gone back to Nivea. Don't have the pennies for another Estee Lauder cream.
