Estee Lauder Advanced Repair Serum night treatment

I'm looking for opinions on the Estee Lauder Advanced Night Repair Serum. I am, of course, looking for a miracle product which will take 20 years off my by morning:D

Seriously, I'd be interested to know what others think. The reviews on the Estee Lauder site are glowing (99% of them) however I'm wary of buying a beauty product which may end up gathering dust in the cupboard.

thanks

never tried that one, but do have a different serum by them and it's amazing. i won't buy it apart from in duty free (or, more realistically, if someone else goes through and gets it for me!). have you asked at a counter for a sample? might be worth trying.

I've been using it for a while. TBH I'm not sure about it, I don't much like the texture and i haven't seen any big differences. Maybe i need to start using it on just one side of my face :) Have also been using the eye cream and like it a lot better!

Totally over rated imo and over priced. I brought the large size and used it everyday for months and noticed no improvement in my skin, I am 38 and have normal/dry skin. Tbh I had greater luck when I went away for 2 weeks and forgot my toiletry bag and just used olive oil as a cleanser/moisturiser.
Serums wise I love ultraceuticals vit A serum and noticed an immediate difference in my skin when I used it and also love rosehip oil and Akin cellular serum.

I bought this in Debenhams last week when it was at Duty Free prices and my skin has never looked better, i have a lot of redness in my cheeks and large open pores on my cheeks and chin, i saw the size of my pores shrink literally overnight and this week i've noticed a lot of the redness in my cheeks has gone, there is still some redness there but i cannot beleive the difference this makes to my skin, the open pores on my cheeks have shrunk a lot since last week, so much so that i tried a liquid foundation today instead of my mineral powder one and it stayed on my face and didn't sit in my pores like it normally would, i love this product but it is expensive, i had been reccomended it by a friend who it worked for too or i'd probably have never looked at it, there are loads of reviews on it on Makeupalley.com, some people love it and some dont, i think it may depend on what your skin type is.

This is one of the best things for my very fussy skin.. I also like the super concentrate version every now and again.

the eye cream is a little too much for me to use daily, I use use it every second day and another the other days.

A little goes a very long way: a bottle lasts me a year.

I've tried some sample pots, the samples are quite a decent size and you will have enough for a week ask for one. It suits my skin, it does feel nice. Personally If I were to guess I think it is the hyaluronic acid that does most of the job - which I think is the main ingredient. I think it plumps the skin slightly but I don't think there is anything in it to make the pore size permanently smaller you'd need some sort of fruit acid / aha to do that I think. If you can afford to buy it regularly and you like it go for it. I did have a bottle years ago sadly it didn't last a year for me.

The benefit goes as soon as you stop of course so you might be better off buying something you can buy more regularly with similar ingredients. I think M&S have some serums that have had good results. Soap and glory from boots do a serum which made it to the anti aging beauty bible this year they didn't mention estee lauder in the bible at all for serums !! It pays to get into the chemistry a little if you can handle it.

Can you tell me which serum this is that you use? I have priced up one or two that I have fancied (for older skin), with the accompanying night or day creams but v expensive and havent justified them yet. Obviously if someone is finding a product good then that is quite encouraging so would love to know which product you use! Its good when they are in duty free too because usually you cannot find much of a discount elswhere except strawberryworld sometimes is good. However am a bit concerned with internet reductions as often they have bought a batch that is ex display according to someone who has worked on Debenham beauty counters.

i use the pore minimising skin refinisher. i think last year i bought a 100ml bottle in duty free for £56ish. that's cheaper than the 75ml version on their website! it's more for reducing pores than any other signs of aging but it feels amazing on my skin and the bottle still isn't finished even though it must be 9 months old already. i'm ok with that amount of money to last a year - if it was monthly, i just wouldn't spend it!

I have used samples and love it but it is really expensive.

I have been using loreal youth code serum for the last few months and it is amazing. My skin is looking great, less fine lines, less texture is getting a youthful glow again. I can't rate it highly enough.
