Son & DiL have a french bulldog, 3 yrs old. about a month ago he had a kind of seizure- shaking, vacant eyes, They took him to the emergency vet who gave him a couple of injections, put a fan on him and observed him for an hour. Charged £150, but they were worried, so felt it was justified. They didn't know what had caused it. Since then he has had a few more but they have decreased in severity, now he goes under the table, still shakes but not as much. In between times he is just as boisterous as ever. They have been doing quite a bit of decorating lately and wonder if it could be the paint fumes. It is possible that it could be epilepsy. They intend to take him into their regular vet for a checkover but I suspect that this will be very expensive. They have insurance but i dont think it covers anything like this. Has anyone else experienced this?

Insurance should cover it whatever the problem - the dog is ill.
I would take him to the vets asap - the fact he has seizured more than once needs to be investigated - yes it may be expensive, as it will probably involve blood tests etc, but that it what pet insurance is for surely?I don't know half of you half as well as I should like, and I like less than half of you half as well as you deserve.
