Cheap moss pole or alternative?

Can anyone suggest a super-cheap alternative to a moss pole (or a very cheap place to buy one)?

We have a healthy and growing swiss cheese plant in our rented flat that I don't want to kill off, but equally don't want to have to look after too much or have to spend money on! My plan had been to get a pole of some sort, 'bind' it on so that it's less spread out and then hopefully ignore it bar watering for the next 6 months :rotfl:

I hate it when landlords leave you their plants to look after...

Don't think they're in Scotland, but thanks for the suggestion.
