    You haven't said what make!

  • nope, no chance, you could get yourself a much better pc for that. If you already have a copy of XP it's even better. Vista isn't really necessary right now.

    Core 2 Duo Mobo £60
    2GB DDR2 6400 £140 lifetime warranty
    DVD Burner £25
    3/12 inch card reader £15
    Near Equivalent GPU £60
    19" LCD £120

Total £530 but a much better computer and you have a warranty on all parts.

However if you don't have an OS, it'll be more expensive

you missed out the hd - another £40-50. Its an ok price but not an absolute bargain.
  • considering it would blow the pentium d out of the water i'd say it's a bargain, but there are other things to consider, if vista is a factor for buying it, i'd say go with PC world

  • Went instore today to see it in real life.

Salesman threw in free speakers, and 10 DVD-RW, and I was going to buy it, but then had a sudden change of heart (long queue of disgruntled shoppers, or people returning Xmas gifts put me off) and turned down the offer.

Mmm, back to the drawing board.
