Even if was an approximate measurement, the delivered item is 26cm by 16cm bigger, which in my opinion is far too much of a difference.

I agree. I was just thinking along the lines of if DHL deny confirming the measurements by phone and refuse a return, so it would be her word against theirs.

Do courier companies make furniture? :rotfl::rotfl::rotfl:
The greater danger, for most of us, lies not in setting our aim too high and falling short; but in setting our aim too low and achieving our mark

lol, I wish it were DHL, I bet their customer service is better.

I was wise wnough to take a copy of the sizes displayed instore, so the manager cannot deny any knowledge. I also have a copy of the ones online.

I think you could lose that bet. I'm sure theres been more than one thread on them on here (then again also been more than one on DFS. Enough to make me stay away from them - and Land of Leather - next time i'm looking for a suite).
You keep using that word. I do not think it means what you think it means - Inigo Montoya, The Princess Bride

Yeah, upon reflection, I'd never make that bet, the last thing I posted on DHL 24 took over 2 weeks to arrive :(

    They're improving then :D
  • Sorted.

The manager was a complete idiot who refused to even acknowledge the soga...so after a lot of shouting at their people in head office and an e-mail from the finance company, the area manager came to my house, measured the sofa and had it collected 2 days later for a full refund (though not without trying to persuade me I needed a sofa from another range).
