Just a thought but I wondered if anyone lives in a city, there is usually a night shelter for the homeless I know there is one in Leeds, perhaps it might be an idea to donate a box of toiletries eg shower gel, soap, tampons etc etc. After all they have only cost us a matter of a few pence/pouinds and thanks to the generosity of our supermarkets we can always restock.

(An annual meeting I go to always have a collection for a shelter, one year it was mugs and tins of tomato soup because they went through dozens every lunchtime, another year it was toiletires)

I've just made up 4 bags of toiletries for the local women's refuge... never thought of putting tampons in though so thank you for the nudge! :)

btw these vouchers don't work on baby wipes
  • ..........
I also managed to get £12 of a £35 mans shop. The SA queried the use of two £6 vouchers but the supervisor told her to scan it and if it went through it was ok.........

Was that 2 x 'Quit' vouchers or 1 x blue clothing voucher and 1 x 'Quit' voucher????

    Many thanks in advance.

Yes, thats what I thought. You can go into a public toilet and get soap and paper towels so you can have a wash but what do women do when thye are having a period.

Also a good idea about womens refuges, these can be in small towns as well as large cities and often women turn up in the middle of the night with nothing, just what they stand up in so at least a bag of toiletries is a start.

I was reading about our local one in the local newspaper, very commendable number of families they help each year but a very sad number that they have to turn away. So at least we can help with their toiletries and help reduce their running costs

At a guess Tibbie's mum it would be one of each as of the barcode would be different so they don't know about each other if you get what I mean
  • Huge thanks to Lorraine for sending me some vouchers - I got some slimfast today, nivea shower gel and some cat food.

I did ask at the pharmacy about the £1.00 off a healthcare spend which are valid until 14/1 but she said they had all gone, will try another Tescos shortly.

Has anyone tried any other Shower gels or Toiletries with both the £1.25 Toiletries and £1.25 Beauty Coupons? We know that the Nivea Shower Oil (£2.59 BOGOF) works with both vouchers, but do any of the other BOGOF toiletries work too?

Also someone mentioned something about 150 points on Keep Fit DVD's at Tesco, but when I asked for more info, no one seemed to know anything about it. I have looked at these DVD's in Tesco today, but can't see anything saying they are on offer.
