you can run anything you think of though the company name and trademark checker to make sure it's available.

I was quite taken by tetron but there's already a similar name used for a computer systems co.

    But Telephunky isn't. Love it!
If you haven't got it - please don't flaunt it. TIA.

I'm a bit of an sad individual and would like something Sci-fi or space related such as Enterprise Telecom, or Quantum Comms, but would these be appropriate?
A sci-fi or space related name may be appropriate, but I would caution against 'advertising' that you are 'a bit of a sad individual' ...

I'm not suggesting that you are lacking in the social graces, but DH uses someone to sort out the computer networks at work who is never darkening our door at home again, nor is he going to come to MY workplace and sort out our networks.

This is after he came to fix a little problem at home, and was still here at 3 AM, even after I'd said "I'm off to bed now" round about midnight. Bear in mind that the computer is on the landing right outside our bedroom door, so they were still 'just trying this, it should only take a minute'.

Of course DH is partly to blame for this, for not insisting that he should leave, but if I needed to use the services of a company like yours, I'd rather not be worrying whether you're 'a bit strange' just from your company name ...

Not feeling massively inspired, so won't suggest any names, but will say it might be worth considering something that starts with a letter from the beginning of the alphabet, not the end, as some listings pages are alphabetical, and a lot of people armed with no further info will work through a list alphabetically....

Thank you all for some great suggestions. I was about to register Red 5 Communications until you made me realise I am a nerd ;-)

I really like Telephunky and the Turnitoffandbackonagain suggestions ;-)

Road2Manchester needs to be in marketing....

would become TIO & BOA if you wanted something a tad shorter ... :rotfl:

BTW, nothing wrong with being a nerd, as long as you retain some social skills and don't outstay your welcome ...

There is also HIWAH and HIWABH (Hit It With A Hammer and Hit It With A Bigger Hammer) once TIO & BOA have failed to provide an answer ... but you may not wish to encourage these. ;)
