Lost immobilizer fob!!

I sold my car last weekend and the guy wants to pick it up tomorrow.
The trouble is after my son went on a test drive with him the keys have disappeared! (The guy buying it is his girlfriend's dad, so there is nothing dodgy going on there)
I have a spare key that will open the doors but it won't start the car - the only immobilizer I have was on the lost set of keys. I have turned the house over looking for them but no luck.
What do I do now? I don't suppose it's going to help that the car is a Rover and there are no dealerships left.

well what rover is it for a start? You maybe able to get a replacement from BMW if its a 75, others would be programmable from other key outlets that specialise/mobile locksmiths etc.
Try going to mg-rover.org and ask on the forums there, there maybe someone local to you that can recommend a locksmith capable of producing a new key with immob for you.
Really can't see the buyer continuing with the purchase without the keys unless he/she knows of where to get one cheaply, which they will knock off the sale price and probably a bit more for the inconvenience.Everyones opinion is the most important.....no wonder nothing is ever agreed on.0
