What did you do with your bridesmaid dress after the wedding?
It's a $200 two-piece dress. Seems like a waste to just let it sit in my closet, but I don't think I could really sell it because I had it hemmed, and I'm pretty short. Any ideas? If you have been a bridesmaid in the past, what did you do with your dress?

It's certainly worth a shot on ebay, even though you had it shortened, as long as it was done professionally.
As to other ideas, a lot depends on what the dress looks like.0 -

I've firstly considered wearing the dresses on my own. Maybe it is worthy on ebay. Are their many used bridesdresses go like this??:cool:0 -
I've still got mine from my sisters wedding 12 years ago. I did manage to wear it to another event afterwards because it was from Monsoon, so was an evening gown rather than specifically a bridesmaids dress. It was however altered to fit me so I doubt I could have sold it. I kinda love it, so still have it even though it's now a bit dated. (OK, so my niece described it as 'a pair of curtins!!')
I have also got another bridesmaid dress which was made to measure 12 years ago so again unsuitable for selling. I was going to throw it out in a recent clear out, but then thought I could use the fabric to make something else so it's in my fabric stash waiting to be recycled!0 -
My bridesmaid kept hers, its a cocktail length grey satin dress and bolero and she plans to wear it again.0

Mine is a hideous creation that I wouldn't even have as curtains; so I send it the occasional scowl every few months or so when I come across it in my closet, and that be about it.Never argue with an idiot; they'll bring you down to their level and then beat you with experience.0

My BM has already got another use out of hers before I've even got married! When we chose it we knew she'd wear it for her school prom as well...she was on pain of death not to damage it though! Hers is a short purple Coast dress so she could wear it out again after as well if she wants0

I've kept both my bridesmaid's dresses, unfortunately one of them was damaged after a burst pipe at my house, so I no longer have that one. Both my dresses were typical long puffy dresses, I've never worn either dress again, but I can't imagine getting rid of the one I still have, don't know why really.
My sister had hers cut down to cocktail dress length and wore it a couple of times for events.0 -
I've still got both of my bridesmaids' dresses, and have worn one of them again for a couple of formal events.
