London- New Year

We're thinking about doing London for New years this year- just for something different. We want to stay centrally- ideally Wesminster/covent garden/oxford street area so we can go somewhere for the fireworks but also be local enough to lots of pubs for some bevvys. Don't want to have to rely on nightbuses or taxis after lots to drink so want somewhere walkable. Ideally somewhere with parking near by, and ideally less than say £150 for the night. I've had a quick search and obviously the hotels are quite pricey but wondered if anyone knows of any gems? My first choice would have been Mint Westminster but that is around £220 as far as I can see.

Travel Lodge Covent Garden is £149 for a room. The one in Farringdon is £85 but is not quite central.
