Sorry about this but I have another question, I seem to have lost one of the certs, how will this impact on me selling them, if I have the ref numbers would that be ok or would I need them re issues which would then cost? I thought one was a cert but it turned out to be a dividend form.

You need to get in touch with the relevant company registrar. I'm not sure whether they would allow you to deal through them without you having a certificate, but to deal elsewhere you will need one. There might be a cost involved in issuing a replacement.

It is always different this time. The only thing that is the same is the outcome.
Portfolios are like personalities - one that is balanced is usually preferable.

There will be a fee to replace a certificate - fairly high. Most of it is an insurance indemnity rather than an admin fee.

    You can't sell without it

I logged on to capitas site and they say without the cert they cannot release the payment. And the amount that I would be selling for is barely worth me shelling out for it, is there no other way to prove they are mine? I have them in my name on the site for instance so they can see I am the one who owns them, is there no other way of validating my identity as it seems odd to get them to send me a new cert for me to only send it back the minute i get it. I have sent a email to them to find out what can be done.
