USB ports

Hello, I do not seem to have any spare usb (what does this stand for?)ports on my computer Is this the kind of gadget I need to allow me more ports for plugging in new item I had for christmas Thank you for any advice.

I think it's "Universal Serial Bus" <--- from my uni days

You can buy a USB hub from anywhere (Ebay, PC world etc), that you plug into your USB port to give you an extra 4, 8, 12 etc. THe more ports, the more expensive they are.

In fact, I seen one of these 4 port hubs in the pound shop the other day (yes for £1 lol).

Alternatively, you can buy an extra USB board to fit into your mother board !

ckerrd, the one's that are fixed into the back of tower have mouse,speakers plugged into them, appears there is only 2/3 there

buy a powered hub or check on the front as well and see if you've a flap hiding some more, i know Dell hide a couple at the front.

a hub with a plug on it. uses it's own power source rather than taking it from the pc.
