I just had a quote for the central heating update

basically it includes Worcester-Bosch 37CDI combi-boiler
12 radiators(basic, nothing fancy), two showers, and a power flush

and the quote including installation, 7500!!

It is twice as much as i expected! Any idea? Or am i having the wrong expectation?

I am based in Essex. Please, any opinion?

Thank you!

May be a little OTT but not much.

That is a hell of a lot of work and materials.

Do you have a suggestion what range would be reasonable, please?

What are you comparing it to..another full spec quotation from a RGI who has also seen the job or info from internet forums?

How many quotes have you had? More than one so you can compare like for like would be useful....after all, RGIs who have conducted a site survey and discussed your requirements are better placed to price up the job than anonymous posters. Not clear if it is more than a central heating quote....in your first post you mentioned 'two showers'?

Sounds very high to me. I would think you should be able to get it done for around £5.500

I was thinking of around £6500- £7000, but assumed this included all the work stated and not just the ch.

I think way too much. We used a plumber from my builder who used to come from Essex. He was great and great price
