Hi everyone,

what's best, tile after a new bathroom suites been fitted or after?

and would you tile a shower before it's fitted or after?

  • Usually peoples put the tiles up after the suite is fitted. Otherwise you're trying to drill holes through tiles (without breaking them) to screw things like the sink or toilet cistern to the wall. A electric tile cutter make things a lot easier.

    For the bath after.......unless you want to tile underneath the bath where
    it cant be seen for some reasion ?

    With the shower i would be inclined to do most (If not all) of it first, fit the cubicle/tray etc then finish inside once the shower pipework and mixer were set in place.
  • Normally you would try to fit the bath and shower tray before you tile and the other sanitary ware after. (starts argument about built in furniture now) You also where possible tile the wall before the floor.
