I do trust Chinese manufacturing if its being distributed through a large UK company as the manufacturer will have to be accountable to the UK company or lose business.I don't however trust any chinese product you can buy yourself off ebay for example.I automaticly assume its fake and will fall apart.

The website wasn't eBay, it was posing as an official Christian Louboutin website. Have been in touch with BCand told them it's illegal for me to send the counterfeit goods out of the country. I have also told them I have photos demonstrating the poor quality of the shoes which will hopefully demonstrate that they are fakes. Will wait to see the outcome!

I i was led to believe the shoes were factory clearance as this is what it advertised.

If I said I was the Duke of Edinburgh would you believe that ?

If you go to the Christian Louboutin website the very first thing on there is a warning about fake websites. It gives a link to a list of all official stockists....................

I believe that if you take the shoes to Trading Standards they should be able to confirm they are fakes and give you a receipt to say they have been destroyed.

Maybe worth taking a look at the TS website to see what the proper procedure would be.

This is used quite a lot on eBay to prove items are fake for Paypal etc so I guess it would be the same for other websites and BC.

Thanks for the advice moonrakers but that website you stated is also a fake website despite claims it's an official website. I admit I was gullible & have since learnt a huge lesson. My problem now is trying to get out of a sticky situation!

    Thanks d3lphine3.

Have received a letter from Barclaycard saying if they can't get in touch with the Chinese supplier of the shoes then they won't credit my money. Can they do that under section 75?

    Ficklebee,

I know this is an old thread, but how did you get on? From my interpretation of the law, Barclaycard are pushing it when it comes to this. But remember there is NO time limit for section 75 claims. If you were denied try again, and appeal to the ombudsman if they refuse you.

I'm doing some personal research into consumer law at the moment, as have just had a very bad experience with PayPal (although it did all work out in the end) This kind of situation will defo be on my list to look into.

    Thanks,

    Chris
