Converting WMA to MP3 - songs reduced to 29 secs.

Hi, my daughter has a new MP3 player, which does not support DRM protected WMA files.
Having bought a few music downloads from a well-known retailer, I have converted them from WMA to MP3 using Sound Taxi.
The problem being that all the converted songs are now just 29 seconds long.
Any help here would be gratefully received.
Thanks.
Peter

Sounds like it's a trial version of the software, hence only doing the first 30 seconds of a track.
I'll need to check up on it, but dbPowerAmp might be a better option. If you google for "dbPowerAmp v10" you should find the last free version (they started charging after v10). It's fairly easy to download and install.
There are numerous plugins, and additions for it. Have a google around, I'll see if I can find what you want."Boonowa tweepi, ha, ha."0 -
Thanks Wolfman, that is helpful.
One other thing, if I buy a download in MP3 (rather than WMA) format will I still need to remove the DRM to get the track to play on the MP3 player?0 -

DRM protection only applies to WMA's not MP3's similar to the protection on AAC's from iTunes:rotfl: :j :T :bdaycake: :xmastree: :bdaycake: :T :j :rotfl:0

Have tried to convert the music downloads using dBpowerAMP, but it won't work as it says the files are encrypted. Does that I mean I need to shell out on Smart Taxi to go from WMA to MP3?0
