If your not completly 100% sure then you have to rent in Kent.

What if you hate it in Kent too ?
What if hubby doesn't find a job ?
  • we both come from kent so there,s no prob
  • it,s very difficult as we have to think what is going to be the best for all of us . and if it would be better to rent for a while then buy once my husband find,s a job????

I don't think anybody can advise you what to do here apart from yourselves unfortunately. The only other option would be to rent in the south while you rent your house out. That does mean though that you won't just be able to go back as you will have tenants.

The only other option is for one to move down and find jobs and then the other to follow. Theres no reason you can't get a job in Kent while you live in the north. It's just a lot harder!!
  • On the plus side - your husband should be able to walk into a job being a spark, and with a good wage.

He could also sort out his own business & become self employed.......

Lately I've come to the conclusion that if you want something, then go out and get it - nothing will ever come to you, and it's down to yourself to make the 1st move.

I know it may be daunting that you will have to move, find new accommodation, new jobs etc - but why stay unhappy ? Think to yourself, is it going to get any better where you are now, I doubt you think it will.......

My brother-in-law is a sparky, he travels from the Midlands to London most weeks as he earns nearly twice as much doing this as he could earn working in the Midlands, even taking into account time, travel costs and overnight accommodation.

I would seriously consider moving nearer to London, there are some not so expensive places within commuting distance.

    Regards
    Keith
