I sent mine on 20th June this year and got a decision letter on 1st July, they did not write to anyone asking for medical evidence so it will take longer if they need more evidence.0

Mine was fast too, they did write to my doctor but I think it was to check as they ended up raising my award. It took 4 weeks, one week was taken up by them reposting the form back to me as my carer missed signing one part, so it was signed and sent back again.“How people treat you becomes their karma; how you react becomes yours.”0

That's good to get a quick decision, they received my form on the 8th July so just hoping for a positive renewal again.0

For mine, it was a renewal, the forms were recieved May, then I had the standard letter, I think it was 10 weeks then ask, just before that deadline, (mid July - when the current claim was due to end), at end of June I had the apology we haven't got there yet, we need a doctors report, but last weekend I had a letter saying DLA been approved, based on my report, my mediciation, and a GP report from 2006. I was originally awarded DLA in 2001, I had 2 yrs, 3 yrs, 2yrs, 2 yrs, all have been high rate mobility, and low rate care, although I lost that at times.
But as mine got the thumbs up, and I have been awarded it indefinately.
I would say mine was 2 1/2months in total.
My 1st one, that was applied for July 2001, and it was Dec 2001 when they said yes.xx rip dad... we had our ups and downs but we’re always be family xx0 -
Think they got mine on the 4th, yet to hear back though current aware runs out on 26th, my bad for taking so long to do the form. :eek:This is a system account and does not represent a real person. To contact the Forum Team email forumteam@moneysavingexpert.com0
