Travel insurance - failed exams - urgent!

Hi,

I am currently at University and booked a trip to Pakistan for this Summer (August) a couple of months ago. However I am in the middle of sitting University exams, and do not feel they have gone well, and thus am worried I will have to resit.

I am anxious that I may not be able to go on the trip anymore with my friends, and thus want some form of insurance so that I can cancel my tickets and receive a possible refund. I understand that some insurance companies offer travel insurance that covers the event of failed exams, but I am wondering that it's too late to take out insurance given my exams have started? I should add that I have not received any results yet, so I hope that will work in my favour?

Any help would be greatly appreciated. Thanks

    Not come across any Insurers that include failed exams within their cancellation cover. But have googled and found that some backpackers policies do cover this. eg. travelcover.co.uk

    If any do, I suspect that you had to arrange the policy, before sitting your exams. This is what the travelcover policy says.

    (In respect of Discovery Policy only) as a result of a
    failed university (or equivalent) examination recognised by
    an approved examining body, provided that the date of
    issue of the Policy precedes all examination dates relating
    to the failed course or exam;
