Are PC world EI systems any good?

Or should we stick to Compaq?

We have to buy from PC world as we got vouchers for Crimbo.

We don't need anything overly fancy, as the pc is mainly used for surfing this site, and doing my accounts for my childminding!!!!!!!

It must have a hard drive with about 100gb, p4 processor, 1gb ram, 17" TFT / Lcd monitor, 1 of either wireless ready or firewire connection for digital camcorcorder!

Dh has been looking at two - Compaq 2019, and EI 304. What are your thoughts? What are the Ei systems like?

I appreciate all your help with pointing us in the right direction.

  • EI are PC World's 'economy' brand, below Packard Bell & Advent, so you need to think of them in a similar way that Candy is to washing machines & Alba is to hifi - basically they do the job but tend to have lower quality build/components. Personally I'd go for the Compaq.
