Can a company change delivery costs from what is advertised?

Options
I ordered and received a moisturiser from a small company online on 15 June. They advertised shipping as £7, still advertising shipping as £7 and my receipt says the same.

Today I received an email saying: 'The cost of postage will be £10 instead of £7. Is this ok?'

Do I have to pay this extra £3? I know this is not a huge sum but I would like to know where I stand with this.

Regards

Technically the price can change up until the contract is made - with online purchases this is usually when the goods are despatched. Have you actually received the moisturiser?? I think so, in which case, in the politest way possible, they can whistle for it. More here.

Have you paid though? How did you pay? You might find they take the £3 anyway...

I dont think they'd have a lot of problems getting the payment refunded providing they've kept that email asking for extra money and their response to it (no).
