I told the seller this and that the may need to do something their end to get the money. they have replied with
Does anyone know what has happened here? Thanks

It means that the seller put the wrong email address in the listing, it is easily done and it is usually that they have used a .co.uk instead of .com or vice versa.
You need to go back to seller and ask them to check the paypal id they entered and point out that even if you recall your payment and resend it it will still just go back to the same incorrect address.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Thanks Soolin, I've just noticed that the original (Unclaimed) email address was spelt wrong @btintermet.com and should be @btinternet.com
They have requested that I send it to the correctly spelt email address (Not sure if they realised the original error, which may affect other sales of theirs).
Should I ask them to resubmit their invoice with the correct email address? Is this better than just sending money to the correct email address? Thanks

I would ask for a new invoice, get them to do some work here and make sure they show clearly what you are buying in case of a later dispute. Also, be aware that if you used a bank transfer funded paypal payment then the original one can take 5 days to get back to your account , so if that is the case tell the seller you will make the 2nd payment when you have the first back. It wouldn't hurt to tell them about their error as well.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. OK many thanks, I'll ask for a new invoice (with their correct email address) and point out their mistake.
I paid using a credit card so am not worried about funds taking a few days to come back......0 -
I had this, paypal said unclaimed and put back into my account. I emailed the seller, explaining message that their account was incorrect and asking for them to send me their name / address so i could send them a cheque but no response, that was about 2 months ago. Not sure what else I can do. It wasn't for a that much (£39) but doesnt sit right not paying but definitely not answered me.Morgage till Nov 30 GOAL MFW Sept 2016Aug 11 - £100k Aug 2016.... I would certainly suggest caution with sending a cheque in your situation.I’m a Forum Ambassador and I support the Forum Team on the eBay, Auctions, Car Boot & Jumble Sales, Boost Your Income, Praise, Vents & Warnings, Overseas Holidays & Travel Planning , UK Holidays, Days Out & Entertainments boards. Oh dear, the seller apologised and sent a new invoice, so I paid it, checked my paypal account and could see that their email address was still spelt wrong! So I recalled the payment and sent another message telling them that their email address was still worng.
Is there any way to check the email address (and if neccessary correct) of the recipient before going through the process of paying?.....0 -

After 2 months I'm sure the seller has given up on the sale, neither of you can now open a dispute.0
