Fee Avoidance...

I thought DVD's had a set postage on them:

I was looking for a wardrobe and he user id came up... his postage costs are really steep...

  • Yes they should, £1.25 but those are listed in the wholesale section. That guy is unlikely to sell much at those prices any way and any one stupid enough to bid, well...

I think he's got round the postage caps by putting his dvds in the 'wholesale and job lots' category-I've just looked at 3 of his dvds-1 is 4 dvds and the others are single but they are all listed in the same category. It's blatant fee avoidance as you say.

sorry ludovico cross posted-you were more concise than me and phrased it much better.

  • He has no DSR which means he has feedback for (or sold perhaps) fewer than 10 items - not surprising!

He has 50 completed listings in the past 2 weeks and only 3 sales. I think that rather shows that buyers mistrust sellers who try and work round the rules. His fees must be extremely high as about 10 of those items were not listed as a free 99p start

Well I have reported some of them to eBay - whether they take action is another thing....
