Travelodge deducted money from my account without authorisation

Last month I booked up two rooms in the travelodge sale, total cost £68. This was debited from my account the next day as expected, and I have not booked any other rooms since. This morning I went into my bank account online and was horrified to see travelodge had made a further deduction of £68 from my account. I contacted them this morning through the automated online service and received an automated email asking for some further details of the deductions, to which I have responded, but have not heard anything further back since. I hope they sort out this fiasco asap. Luckily I had money left in my account even though it's only one day before my pay day.

Has anyone else experienced anything similar. should I ask for some sort of compensation? Any advice appreciated. Thanks
