I wonder if anyone can tell me what to see and where to drink in Belfast. Have browsed the web and Tripadviser and there does seem like a lot to see, but apart from Stormont, Belfast Castle and Giants Causeway I need a bit of help prioritising what and when.
I am there for a week and ideally would like to take 3 or 4 whole day trips out (not to Dublin or Scotland though). Where should I go, and is there an advantage to using any particular tour company? You opinions are valued!
Thanks in advance,
VfM

Hi! I took my children to Belfast last year and we had a great time. We spent a day at Newgrange (near Drogheda): http://www.newgrange.com/ This place was built before the pyramids and was 1000 years old when Stonehenge was being constructed. It is 125 km south of Belfast but the roads are good so you can get there in well under two hours.
Also think about going to Armagh. It is the home of both the Catholic Church in Ireland and the Anglican Church of Ireland. If you are interested in Astronomy there is a UK government observatory and planetarium there: http://www.armaghplanet.com/
But what my children enjoyed most was the swimming pool at Lisburn !! http://www.lisburncity.gov.uk/lagan-valley-leisureplex/They did have a couple of excellent slides: a tube ride that went up-hill and this spinner thing that has to be experienced rather than described.
Have a great time in Belfast

Depends on what age group you have going and what your interested in.
If your going to Giants Causeway, I'd also go to Portrush for the excellent beach and fairground, would also stop off at Bushmills distillery on the way back to Belfast.
