Best white paint to cover existing dark colour?

Our lounge is a delightful shade of deep terracotta. Complete with a red carpet. It's been annoying me since we moved in a year ago.
Ultimately I want the walls a creamy colour, but I'll get rid of the old colour with white paint first.
Can anyone recommend the best white paint for this? I don't want a cheap naff one that'll take 6 coats to cover it. The cost isn't an issue - I really want it covered in 3 coats if possible (without slathering it on too thick). But I recently had to cover up a pale pastel blue in our kitchen and that took 3 coats with Dulux white paint.
Wickes TV ads reckon their own brand white paint covers well. But they would say that.

I've had this problem of trying to cover dark colours. The biggest issue is the darker paint often "bleeds" through to the top coat. I've tried cheap through to expensive paint. The best solution i have found is to use a kitchen & bathroom paint (my favourite is Leyland due to quality and price- Selco regularly has it on offer
) it is a thicker, slightly plasticy paint that really covers and blocks the bleed. If you dont like the satin sheen then any other paint can go over the top
HTHIf you can keep your head when all around you are losing theirs, its just possible you haven't grasped the situation0 -
contract matts are great for this either dulux supermatt, crown covermatt or the cheaper version of dulux glidens is good as well0

Quick question, I googled Dulux Supermatt and found this:

Supermatt seems to be particularly recommended for use on plasterboard and newly plastered surfaces. Is it ok for painting over existing matt emulsion?0
