The sales in town today were rubbish, i saw nothing that made me have a dilemma. And Next was awful, full of last years stock.

  • I don't shop at Next very often but my friend was queuing from 4.30am this morning and when the store opened at 6ish, she made a mad rush for her bargains. She does this every year and reckons she saves a small fortune. This year she spent £150 in total on kids clothes and was delighted with her bargains; most of which were half the original price.

    I had a wander around Barry town today but no real bargains to be had as far as I could see apart from reduced Christmas cards;

    Talking of cheap films etc ......... when we went to barry cinema this afternoon - we couldn't believe it but a chap was recording the film on his camcorder - the film was stopped and he was duly thrown out !

    I'm waiting for the next MFI sale when I have my clubcard vouchers so I can buy my new kitchen.

  • WD, was he an elderly guy, i went to see date movie a few months ago on release and we got a quiet showing, me and my mates couldnt understand why there was an elderly chap (possibly between 50 and 60 so not so old, couldnt tell because it was dark) sat over in the back corner who didnt have any popcorn, never laughed and always went shhhh when anybody laughed. I wondered if that was what he was doing, so come on, tell us what happened.

  • Sorry crompton - the film was far too riveting LOL for me to notice much - he was sat a couple of rows back and tbh I didn't take much notice. But I was just surprised that he had the b***s to do such a thing and expect not to be noticed !
