Recessed shower dripping!

My shower head has been dripping. I have unscrewed the hose from the wall and the bit that comes out of the wall has a steady drip.
Is this something we can tackle ourselves. If so what should we do?
Many thanks

It is probably a leak or failure of the mixer valve. Without more information it is not possible to comment further.
Are you sure you are tightening the tap or valve enough to stop the water flow?0 -
We had this problem with our shower and found that the seals had gone on the mixer unit - managed to fix but was a real pain to get to them!I'm mad!!!! :rotfl::jand celebrating everyday every year!!!0

Yep, sounds like you seals have gone, you can buy a service pack of new seals.
Post make/model and will try and ponit you to where you can get new.0 -
Shower is Aqualisa. I don't know the model though. The house was built in 1994. It has a large dial to turn it off and on and dial around that to control the heat.
