Well actually I had a very stressful experience last week where someone came round with their children and one of them managed to break my glass table, ruin my floor and smash some valuable Danish ornaments.

    That's actually very funny!
    haha!

I have too many don't know where to start....

I remember viewing this house that "needed work", asked agent what work it needed, the answer was painting and new kitchen and bathroom. Ok, me and my OH got there, there were loads of people living in the house, ceilings falling off, a kid sleeping in the middle of the lounge floor, but never mind. Go up to the bathroom, but someone's put a mattress on top of the bath and was sleeping on it!
That house is still for sale.

We had a couple come to view ours with two children in tow, one of whom started pulling our books off the shelves and generally going through our stuff. The parents said nothing, so I told him to stop, and he wasn't happy. I mean, I know you want to have a good look round, but people's stuff is people's stuff, and you just don't do this, surely?

They then said that they had left another child at home as he was even worse behaved than the one they'd brought....

They didn't make an offer, but we may have refused it if they had, we had very good neighbours in that street, and I wouldn't have wanted to inflict this family on them :)

We went to see a flat which hadn't been cleaned for a decade, I reckon - the kitchen had a thick layer of grease, the windows were filthy, there were piles of rubbish bags in one corner of the living room, and dirt everywhere on the floor.

    We bought it......

2 houses we looked at were empty but had cars on the drives, in both cases the EA knew nothing about them and one had no engine so couldn't be moved.
The other one turned out to be the next door neighbour's car. Apparently he used the drive with the previous owner's permission because he had been having problems with young men coming past drunk on a Saturday night, picking up his Reliant Robin and depositing in upside down in the middle of the road :rotfl:

DH and I went to view a vacant house on an open day sort of thing. The estate agent was gushing about the potential of the property and how good it was. It had no doors, no skirting boards, the kitchen, cloak room fittings and bathroom fittings had been torn out. There were wires hanging out of the walls and pipes that had nothing to join onto. The Estate Agent made a huge thing about it having a conservatory. It was one of those self build metal framed ones and I swear that every pane of glass in it rattled and shook when I walked across it to the door. I refused to let my 1 year old DS anywhere near the thing as I was sure it was on the verge of collapse. I know that it was the agents job to sell it to the best of their ability, but no problems were mentioned in the details and we certainly didn't expect it to be in that state.
We brought another house that was 4K cheaper and just needed decorating.

The worst house I saw was a man selling it and he had loads of !!!!!! mags lying around the bedroom. He didn't even seem embarrassed or ashamed by them.

The worst experiences I had a seller was when I lived in a top floor flat (one door so nowhere to escape) and an older man came to see the flat and he was really drunk and swaying all over the place. I left the door unlocked and didn't go into any of the rooms with him incase he did anything weird.

I also had a lot of people viewing the flat I sold that just seemed to want to have a rake through my possessions. One couple that came to view, I showed the female the bedroom and when I went back to the living room the male was raking through my CD's - !!!!!!! weirdos!
