I think having had previous dealings with Welcome Finance that you will struggle to get them to accept anything less than what is outstanding namely because they are not lending presently they are attempting to get money back off there customers as they will say there is too much outstanding for them as a financial lender however it would appear that they have possibly entered into civil hardship times and therefore i think that your probably going to struggle. The other issue is that they do have a charge on your house so if they were to settle early you would want that concrete written on paper.

Good luck if they will accept it though.

I have never missed a payment on the loan, never accrued charges, etc. .

Which is why they are rejecting your offer. You are asking them to let you off money which they are going to get anyway.

Those who have reduced settlements are those customers who have ultimately sent Welcome to the wall. The ones who either cannot or will not repay the money they borrowed.

That huge amount of profit which makes you sick, isn't going straight into their pockets, it has been loaned to others who are refusing to repay.

If they made that much profit from the customers, they would be thriving, not going belly up.

Your previous record of honouring your repayment obligations to Welcome is costing you nearly £6k
