Opening/closing date & time:
· The PRTS and 03 phone lines open and close at the times stated during “Who Wants To Be A Millionaire” (the ‘Programme’).
· At least three (3) working days before the Programme, viewers may follow the instructions at the website, www.itv.com to enter the competition. Entries via the website closes during the Programme at the time as stated during the Programme.
Method and cost of entry:
· Dial the PRTS number, 0904 16 19 333 during the opening times as announced during the Programme, and listen to instructions asking them to leave their name and their contact phone number. Entrants may dial the PRTS number no more than three (3) times from one (1) phone number. Each PRTS call costs no more than £1.54 from BT landlines. Calls from other networks may be higher and from mobiles will be considerably more.
· Go online to the website at www.itv.com during the opening times and follow instructions there to register their name and their phone number. There is no limit on the number of times entrants may visit the website to register for the ‘03’ number. There is no charge when registering via the website, although internet service provider’s fees may apply when accessing the internet. They will then be provided with a telephone number beginning with the numbers ‘03’ which they may dial during the Programme and listen to instructions asking them to leave their name and their contact phone number. Entrants may dial the ‘03’ number no more than three (3) times from one (1) phone number. Each call to the ‘03’ phone number costs standard geographical charges from landlines and from mobiles and connection charges where applicable. The total cost will be dependent on the entrant’s network provider.
Participation process:
Contacting the entrant – entrants are required to be contactable on the phone number they provide at the time of entering the competition to take part in the Programme on the phone live on-air. The first entry randomly drawn will be called back on that phone number during the Programme to answer a multiple choice question within a given time frame.
Rules - the first entry randomly drawn must answer the phone on the first call within the first three (3) rings. However, if that entrant fails to answer the call promptly when first called or for any reason successful contact with the entrant is not made, or the call is interrupted, (including but not limited to interruption due to technical fault), or the entrant is ineligible or does not agree to participate on air in the Programme, then such entrant’s entry will be void and the entrant forfeits their chance to take part in the Programme.
If they answer the multiple choice question incorrectly or fail to answer the multiple choice question within the time frame given in the Programme they forfeit their chance to take part further in the Programme. The Programme producers reserve the right to randomly select another eligible entrant to take part in the Programme.
In the event of any technical failure which adversely affects selection and/or contact of a potential participant in the Programme, the Programme producers reserve the right to randomly select another eligible entrant during the time available during the Programme on-air. ITV, the producers of the Programme and/or the Promoter is not responsible for any loss or damage caused to you as a result of such occurrence.
To take part in the Programme, the entrant must agree to be on the phone live on air during the Programme. It is the responsibility of the entrant to be available by phone during the Programme, and also to be watching the Programme on the same date and time in order to take part in the Programme. The entrant acknowledges and agrees that they must comply with any directions and/or instructions given to them, including, without limitation, in regard to conformity with all applicable terms and conditions, the Ofcom Broadcasting Code, health and safety instructions and all relevant laws, rules and regulations.
The Promoter reserves the right in its sole discretion to contact an entrant. The Promoter does not guarantee that all entrants will take part in the Programme even if they have been contacted, nor does the Promoter represent, undertake or warrant that it will broadcast any episode of the Programme which may or may not include an entrant’s entry and/or participation in the Programme.
Winner selection and prize:
The first entry randomly drawn who answers the call promptly when first called to take part in the Programme on-air, and who correctly answers the multiple choice question on the phone live on-air within the time frame given during the Programme will be the winner of the prize.
The prize includes a variable cash value based on a portion of the value achieved by celebrity contestant(s) during the Programme and is made payable by cheque in the name of the winner only. The prize also includes an entertainment package which contains a 42" LG Plasma 3D TV, a JVC HD Camcorder, a KEF Home Cinema System KIT120 in silver, a Razor electric scooter, a Nintendo 3DS along with a selection of five (5) family games, an Apple iPhone 4 (unlocked), and a Samsung Netbook laptop.
The prize excludes any associated costs and expenses not included in the prize including but not limited to the installation and/or connection of any item included in the prize, batteries, display stands and/or mounts, additional power cables or similar supplies, furniture, mis-delivery costs, storage fees, any other supplementary products, services and accessories. It is the winner’s responsibility to provide, install and pay for any products and supplies which may be required to take up the prize or for the operation of the items provided.
