so u mention 1 company u 'claim' to be listed. pull the other one. anyone can call u from a mobile and try to talk to u about ur account. U have NO IDEA as to who they are. Could be ID theft as if u search the number of course you wont find anything.... When the bank calls u for 'suspicious use of card' do u think they use mobiles... so why should a debt collector?
Its not about 'playing the victim'. its about BASIC security. If they cant be bothered to phone using the office number(s) (trackable) or via letter, they sure as hell aint gonna have me talk to them from a 'random mobile phonecall'.
The OP mentioned Apex.
The issue of not being able to use office based phones was addressed and fair points for both sides proffered.
You hit the nail on the head re talking to these random mobile calls..when I receive such...and they are for previous number owner not me...I adopt the tactics of the tea advert...your call is important to me, please hold and !!!! off getting on with my life etc....that old dont get mad get even0
