In terms of a Paypal dispute, the person returning needs to show the delivery was attempted/made or refused.

The buyer should be refunded so long as the item shows as returned and delivery attempted.

Yes, attempted delivery is one that's refused, isn't it?

No, I had to wait for an attempted delivery (postie tried to deliver but no one home) but have had 'parcel refused' acted upon immediately. So different in terms of getting the dispute closed now.

So whilst they both are the same end effect, the difference is in the timing.

Oh, OK. Never been in that situation and only seen the situation secondhand.

    Thanks for making that clear.

My OH had someone who said they wouldn't answer the door for the special deliver return. As soon as the online tracking showed that the delivery was attempted, we were given a full refund by ebay.
Should've = Should HAVE (not 'of')
Would've = Would HAVE (not 'of')

No, I am not perfect, but yes I do judge people on their use of basic English language. If you didn't know the above, then learn it! (If English is your second language, then you are forgiven!)

It is a daft seller that thinks they are being clever by refusing to sign for a return.

When you get your refund and the item gets delivered back to you (you did put a return address on I hope), make sure that the seller pays you upfront for the postage costs to resend their item back to them and also for the costs in sending it the 1st time.
