i keep getting a 'thing' pop up on my computer saying that an advanced programme of this security thing is available and do i want to download it.
the last time i clicked onto something like this, i think i unleashed pandoras box!!!!! took ages to get the computer cleared out of viruses.
dont want to do the same again - is it a real proper thing or will i be doing something daft if i do??

Start with malwarebytes if you have not got it, you can download it here, install, update, run a full scan, remove anything it finds

IOBit Security is a legitimate programme and installed "accidentally" by some people when they install IOBit Smartdefrag as its in a list of other programs IOBit do which you have to untick or click on Skip NOT to install during setup of Smartdefrag.0
