anyone give me facts, info about principle/rule whereby if an organisations maladmin causes financial problem (whereby you have monies you shouldn't or a debt you wouldn't otherwise have had) then that company has to stand the problem (accept their loss or refund you the debt)

So you mean you have been overpaid Tax Credits (Money you shouldn't have had)
and they now want you to repay this (debt you wouldn't otherwise have had)

Not really enough details for anyone to advice you accordingly as different senarios for overpayment have different outcomes.0 -

can't answer properly without scenarios. In some cases there would be a liability and in others there would not.Debt free 4th April 2007.

I would have thought that your biggest problem was to prove the company/organisation/government department had made a mistake and also agreed that they were responsible .......0
