Do you think it would be better to use an FA or would it be possible for me to do this on my own.
You dont need to use an IFA (ignore tied agents). You can do it through Hargreaves Lansdown (not sure if they offer a full property fund range though).
If you feel more comfortable, you could use an IFA but you would want an investment specialist IFA and not a general practioner IFA (no point seeing one that does mostly mortgages with investment class business).
the database of IFAs is at www.unbiased.co.uk (ignore qualification filter when you search as its highly flawed).
I think you should keep up your research first though and see what you think first. Only get an IFA in if you feel its going above your head. However, there arent too many things you can get wrong with property funds investment apart from mixing up bricks and mortar funds (low risk) with property share funds (high risk).I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA). The comments I make are just my opinion and are for discussion purposes only. They are not financial advice and you should not treat them as such. If you feel an area discussed may be relevant to you, then please seek advice from an Independent Financial Adviser local to you.0 -

mortgage advisers would be no good for investment class business just as an investment specialist would be no good for mortgages.I am an Independent Financial Adviser (IFA).
