I thought this was the most appropriate section to post - apologies if its' not.
Has anyone had any experience of taking their management company to the Leasehold Valuation Tribunual?
Residents on my estate are considering doing so because we are seriously in debt and works have been carried out without our permission/consultation.
If anyone could let me know if they have come acorss the LVT previously, or could give me any advice, I (we) would be extremly grateful.
Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year!

Hi,
Really looks like everybody enjoyed their Christmas!
Back to your problem, it loooks like you coiuld talk to these people: http://www.lease-advice.org/
This is what I did when our management company decided to push forward with major works. They advised us on what we could and could not do, and what was the most appropriate course of action.
hope this helps !rafraf03

Thanks very much, I have seen this website and talked to an advisor there who was very helpful but, obviously couldn't give anything but impartial advice. Does anyone know how effective it would be to go the the tribunual?0
