Co-Operative Travel Experiences?

Hi, I am looking at a holiday in Algarve for next year. The co-operative travel are doing the same accomodation as thomson but for £1300 less. Seems to good to be true! Just wondered if anyone had used them before. Thanks in Advance

They are probably just booking the package seperately to get the cost down

The Co-op are fine to book with yeah

  • Just booked our holiday with the Co-op and had no issues. An added bones is that you can earn Co-op member points too.

Apparently Thomas Cook are being taken over by or merging with (can't remember which) the Co-op.

I had a holiday with them last year and it was fine. From what I understand they just package holidays from different tour operators which is why they can do it a lot cheaper. Ours last year ended up being with Thomas Cook.

Agree with all the above. However it does seem a very big difference, so just make sure it's 100% like for like (ie same accomodation, not one with just a similar name, duration not changed. OK, chances are flights might be different). And also check that it is PACKAGED HOLIDAY, and that Co-op are selling it as a bonded & financially protected holiday, in the same way that Thomson are.

Even some travel agents can make mistakes sometimes...............

However, if it is spot on, then save your £1300.00 hard earned cash.........

I've booked my last two holidays with them and as a Co-Op member I received, eventually, £130 from them. They were cheapest to book with even before this. The staff in my local one are really nice as well.

    Not sure if this counts....

MY DS has just come back from a two week holiday which was incredibly cheap (£600 for both of them)- the company he originally booked with was taken over by the CO-OP after he booked though Ice lolly.com.

He has just had the most fantastic time - he did not expect the hotel he stayed at to be so nice for what he paid and he can't wait to go again.
