Steam Generator faulty iron

I puchased a steam generator from the Ideal Home. I eventually started using it, but it leaked water.
I got in touch with with company. Meanwhile I eventually tried it again and as long as I started it off on dry iron and then switched to steam it was ok.
I used it this way for a few weeks and then it just didn't work.
I got in touch with the company, they send me a new one. Meanwhile ironing built up!
New one arrived, it didn't work at all.
Got in touch, they said to hold down steam button for 3 minutes. Still didn't work.
As I was going off on holiday I had to buy another Iron.
I can have a refund BUT they will refund minus the days I have used it??!! so instead of £100 POUNDS its £91.66
The iron was obviously not fit for purpose.
I have said I want a full refund.
They are standing their ground and say no.
Where in law do I stand?
