Any suggestions?

Dear All

We're hoping to be able to go away for a short european break this summer for the first time on holiday for 5 years! Am obviously quite out of touch with searching for holidays, but we're looking for about a 4 night break to somewhere hot e.g. greece for a bargain price.

Unfortunately we really don't have a large budget and would like to go somewhere quiet and untouristy - is it going to be possible?

Please can someone advise on any good locations that I could check out? Also, what do people recommend as a cheaper way to find these holidays? Should I be looking to separate flights and hotels / villas etc?

Thank you to anyone who can take the time to reply, it is much appreciated.

Been looking through threads for advice on booking my own family holiday and lots of folks seem to be saying it's cheaper booking flights/accom separently on sites like icelolly and travelrepublic.

If you want a package holiday then lots of them are linked now so offer similar holidays:

    Direct Holidays/Olympic Holidays/Thomas Cook

    First Choice/Thomson's

If you are only going for four days though then you may be better off in main land Spain. Resorts like Benidorm have had a bad rep but we stayed there in a small hotel in the Old Town up the hill a couple of years ago and had a fab time. Ibiza can be lovely too if you stay away for SA & SA bay.

We stayed in the Kassandra Apartments in Trianda, Rhodes a couple of years ago too, it's in a quiet spot but only about a 20 minute bus ride from Rhodes Town and it was fab.

Hi zeddy, we went to Palma for a short break which was about £600 for 4 nights A.I.
very nice small hotel, fabulous friendly staff, and would love to go back again but only for a short break as the food was ok but not brilliant, mind you we did find an english bar up the hill that did a really nice pint of san miguel for only £1.50 - loverly.
I don't know where you are but our first short break was on the euro star and we went to Ghent in belgium for 2 nights (we got some sort of deal) what a fabulous trip, a beautiful old town, full of churches and cobbled streets and restaurants. We did spent a lot of money but hey ho it was worth it.
happy hunting, and good luck with the web site searching.
