Just Moved - Central Heating / Electric / External Paint

Just moved into my new home (two weeks ago) and am in the process of gathering quotes.

Been reading these forums for some time and they get me down a bit as I never get quotes even vaguely close to what some people on the boards seem to manage.

Anyhoo....could do with your expert opinions on the following:

Three Bed Detached 1930's house in Kent.

Central Heating:

To install Condensing Boiler plus Megaflow cylinder in loft + 10 rads. Three quotes £6.5K - £8.4K.

Electrics

Three new sockets. Three replacement sockets. One new light (run off a spur and "stitched" into the ceiling around the joists) and switch. £250

Exterior Paint.

Two coats exterior paint (no window or sofit / facia work) £1200

The painting seems a bit high, but I've only had the one quote. The Central Heating is my biggest worry can someone give me some advice or recomendations?

Thanks

TB.
