Shower cutting out but still has power?

Hello all,
Our electric shower has suddenly developed a fault. After around 1 to 2 minutes of usage the water stops flowing suddenly. The power light stays on but no water comes out. If you leave it all on after a few minutes (no set time) it will start up again and work fine.. for another couple of minutes.
I am unsure what it could be, everything looks fine, it runs fine when running, the power light on the unit stays on yet it does this.. any ideas?
The shower is a Triton T70XR
Thanks

Well, I've had a look on that link and to test the solenoid. It seemed to be fluctuating the reading. When I touch the terminals with the multimeter it kicks the shower working again for some seconds and cuts out again, I touch again and it comes back on. Makes me think it is that.
oh and I know I know the electricity should have been off while I was looking and testing

Just had another look. It is reading as a 'good' solenoid at 3.8k ohms yet it still seems to kick in and work when I shove the test leads onto the terminals and then stops again.Things that are free in life are great, well most of the time :beer:0

As long as you know what you are doing and not standing in the shower with bare feetdickibobboy wrote: »Well, I've had a look on that link and to test the solenoid. Have you considered just replacing the whole unit?:footie:

Yeah haha, I took precautions to make sure the room didn't get wet anywhere or steamed up while I was 'playing'
